All about protein in peanut butter

s about protein in peanut butter

https://depindakaaswinkel.nl/?p=6815 Getting enough protein seems to be very difficult for many. Some of us, like me, have placed our hopes in peanut butter. Athletes need about 1.5 grams of protein per kilogram of weight per day. This would mean that as a person weighing 80 kilos, you would have to eat more than 1 jar of our peanut butter per day. This is of course a pipe dream, but perhaps a bit much! What exactly is the protein in peanut butter?

Amino acids

Your body needs proteins to build and repair your cells. Proteins are broken down by your body into different amino acids that your cells can use. Your body also produces amino acids, but these are not essential amino acids. The proteins you eat consist of 9 essential amino acids. These are: histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan and valine. Not all proteins produce all these amino acids in a balanced way. Peanut butter is rich in leucine and phenylalanine. Tyrosine, valine, lysine, isoleucine and threonine are present in moderate amounts. Histidine and tryptophan are present in low doses.

Vary a lot

Variation is a magic word in every diet and to create the right amino acids. So try different sources (plant and animal) to get your proteins. It is always good to listen to your own body. Every body is different and reacts differently to proteins. What helps me is to feel after eating whether my stomach is calm and not cramping. That way I know which proteins work for me and which do not.

A large spoonful of our peanut butter will help you with about 10 grams of protein. In addition to the fact that peanut butter provides a lot of protein, the peanut plant is also very good for our earth. As a Peanut Boss, you are doing well for your own health and the health of nature!
