https://depindakaaswinkel.nl/?p=84341 Make your own peanut sauce / satay sauce in 6 easy steps, this will make you a star chef!

The tastiest peanut sauce/satay sauce on the table in no time, we're going for it! It can be very easy, especially if you use our chili pepper lemongrass peanut butter as a base :) The more tasty and healthy peanut sauce is eaten, the better we think it is! Making your own peanut sauce is super easy, it's mainly a matter of gathering the right ingredients! See our ingredients below.

What do you need:

  • 6 grams of fried onion pieces or a fresh onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 grams of ginger , preferably fresh
  • Dash of sunflower oil
  • 200 grams of natural peanut butter or an even better start: peanut butter with chili pepper lemongrass
  • 10 grams of grated coconut
  • 5 grams of (cane) sugar
  • Salt (add to taste), guideline 0.5 - 2 grams
  • 2-6 grams of chili pepper , you don't need to add this if you use chili pepper lemongrass peanut butter as a base. Note add this to taste, if you don't like spicy then skip this ingredient.
  • 6 grams of lemongrass , you do not need to add this if you use chili pepper lemongrass peanut butter as a base.

Step 1: Cutting

Cut the onions into small cubes. Of course, you don't have to do this with fried onion pieces, because they are ready to use. Press the garlic with a garlic press or chop it very finely. You can of course also use the mixer to chop the whole thing finely.

Step 2: Baking

Fry the onion in a frying pan in a little sunflower oil until golden brown. Then add the garlic.

Step 3: Grating

Grate the ginger and add to the frying pan.

Step 4: Mixing

Mix all the other ingredients and, depending on your base, also add the chili pepper and lemongrass. Do you want to add another ingredient? Then this is the time! Try bit by bit to see if it still tastes good. Have you come up with a nice addition? Let us know ;) Be careful not to bring the mixture to the boil, it only needs to be heated, peanut sauce burns quickly. Now add about 100-150 ml of water so that it becomes a nice pourable, smooth mass.

Step 5: The perfect finish after making peanut sauce

Homemade peanut sauce is delicious on your meat, with fries or over your vegetables You just made peanut sauce that: *contains no palm oil *contains little salt *contains no stabilizers *contains little sugar Good job, Peanut Boss!

Step 6: Shelf life

Store your peanut sauce in a well-sealed jar. Please note that homemade peanut sauce has a much shorter shelf life than regular store-bought. Homemade peanut sauce has a shelf life of approximately 5 days. This keeps the sauce nice and fresh, which is of course the tastiest! Do you want to store it a bit longer? Then put it in the refrigerator, which will extend the shelf life by a few days. Still a bit too much work? We don't blame you and will do it with all our love for you.
